02.19.08 Country Thunder Records introduces new duo Bluefield

Country Thunder Records is proud to announce the newest addition to it’s roster, the talented duo Bluefield. The band is made up of singer/songwriters Jennifer Hicks and Rick Ferrell. Both of whom have had years of individual success in the music business and are excited about adding this new chapter to their story.

Jennifer’s roots are embedded in country music history as her father was a successful session musician on Music Row and could be seen as a regular on the legendary television variety show Hee-Haw. Over the years Jen has had the opportunity to record her own solo album and has earned her own television fame as a finalist on the wildly popular television talent competition Nashville Star.

Rick has also had the opportunity to record his own album in the past but is most known for the songs he has penned for fellow solo artists. Tim McGraw was at #1 for five consecutive weeks with the single “Something Like That” written by Rick and fellow songwriter Keith Follese. In addition, songstress Martina McBride hit Top 5 hit with “Where Would You Be” written by Rick and Rachel Proctor.

Bluefield is currently out touring in support of their debut single “Butterfly.” When not on the road, they can be found in the studio putting the finishing touches on their album, expected to hit stores this summer.
